Chadderton Park FC would like to announce that the Goalkeeper School
is open to all ages and is now in full swing at the new
winter training facilities.
Goalkeeper School is back on from 5th Sept 2014
Goalkeeper training is back for the new season
and we will continue to run the sessions by age group
on alternate weeks.
The dates are as follows -
12/9/2014 - under 11s and above
19/9/2014 - under 7s to Under10s
26/9/2014 - NO GOALKEEPER TRAINING
3/10/2014 - under 11s and above
10/10/2014 - under 7s to under 10s
And so on until Christmas.
It any coaches that will be there with their own children
it would be appreciated if you could help out with the session.

Goal Keeper Coaching
Didn’t have an e mail address for Chris but if you could forward this
on it would be much appreciated.
I wanted to say a big thanks for the recent goalie training and below
is a summary of how I think it went!
When Josh started he struggled with his kicking from hands – due to advice
from you and Chris this got better – the downside is that when playing
for the Lions the coaches like it played from the back so Josh has to
roll or throw it out and has sometimes struggled with this (everyone shouting
Josh when he had the ball never helped!).
At last weekends tournament his distribution was much better – he was
throwing overarm and getting good distance. He has always been able to
‘pick’ a player out with a kick but this time was doing it throwing overarm
etc which was covered in the training the day before.
He is regularly getting votes for man of the match and this weekend in
3 matches only conceded 3 goals and saved a number from going in – the
below is a reflection of how he played.
